Microsoft's repositioning of Customer Insights from a standalone CDP to the profile layer other agents read from. Sets the direction if a client is deciding where the unified profile should live.
Customer Insights – Data can now connect to a OneLake workspace that has inbound access protection switched on, which unblocks the security-conscious client. Separately, a Customer Insights MCP Server entered preview so agents can be grounded in unified profiles.
A performance dashboard for end-to-end processing status with drill-down into task detail, plus self-correction of transient issues so they stop generating alerts. Both aimed at the operational noise that makes CI Data look unreliable.
Segment conditions offer valid display names instead of expecting you to know the underlying codes. A small change that removes a genuine source of wrong segments.
Source rows can be filtered out inside Customer Insights – Data rather than upstream, so old or incomplete records never reach unification. Cheaper than fixing it downstream and faster to process.
